Background & History
The Cedar Service Company has been in business since 1972 and is based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. For the past four decades, we’ve served the roofing needs of the commercial, industrial and education markets both in Eastern Iowa and throughout the state. The typical projects we pursue and specialize in are educational and institutional facilities and any of the more significant commercial or industrial buildings. We’ve built a solid reputation for quality and service and have a very loyal base of customers available as references.
Staff
You’ll find the entire staff and crew of Cedar Service Company to be very customer service oriented, friendly to deal with, and responsive to those emergency needs that arise from the havoc Iowa’s weather will wreak on the states rooftops. When that late-night call comes in about a leaky roof from storm damage, we’re right there to respond, as we have from our inception!
Leadership
David Holverson is President of Cedar Service Company and has over 40 years of experience in the industry, having started up on the roofs as a crew member.
While he may now have a desk, you’ll often find his hands on, back up on the deck on every job, ensuring that the demands for quality and perfection that his father founded are still delivered. Dave personally handles all of the evaluation and estimating on every project and will be a familiar face throughout the scope of your job.
Crew
The Cedar Service Company road crew regularly consists of multiple crews of professional roofers. Some of them have been with us from the beginning of the business, which in this industry speaks volumes about the relationships and loyalty we have also fostered with our employees.
The crew is fully trained in the latest roofing technology and committed to following the highest quality standards demanded by the company and OSHA. All work is finished cleanly with respect for the client’s property and the need to conduct business during the process.
Safety procedures are strictly followed with all crews being OSHA trained, and we routinely use independent safety advisors to ensure compliance.
Operations Management
The office staff is the front line of our business, and you will always find a friendly, helpful voice on the phone when you call in. Our office operations manager handles many of our administrative and communication responsibilities while all our crews are out on the road and the roof, taking care of our customer's on-site needs.
